As a Webflow Designer and Developer I was tasked with giving the app's marketing website a complete overhaul, improving the user experience as well as the user interface. I also developed the site in Webflow.
Take 5 had previously designed their own marketing site in Webflow several years ago, but now wanted to update the site's look and feel, and make it easier for potential customers to find their way around the site. The ultimate goal was to a) get more people to download the app from the AppStore/Google Play Store, as well as hire Take 5 for individual customisation of the app to construction/mining company specifications. Since the original site was very text heavy, I also engaged in re-writing the entire copy, making it more succinct and putting an emphasis not just on the features included but the actual benefits gained by mine site workers. The core advantages for users were identified as saving time, saving money due to less time being spent on filling out and delivering handwritten documentation, as well as increasing overall workplace safety for employees. Besides a more benefit and goal orientated copy I also implemented imagery that was a mix of construction/safety work shots and app mockups. A design with lots of white space gave the different elements space to breathe and the new navigation and page structure made it easy for visitors to get the required information quickly.
The Take 5 Safety App marketing site was a great project that helped the app developers to present their product in a new, more professional light. With Webflow staff can easily update site content without the need of a developer. The future-proof, timeless design creates a level field against marketing websites from competitors in the industry and the app's development team can now focus on further improving and expanding the app without having to worry about an old, outdated marketing site.
